Privacy and Data Handling Notice
At Oriente Salvaje (ADETCO — Association for the Tourism Development of the Eastern Coast) we value your privacy. This notice explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Data Handling
1. What data do we collect?
When you fill out our forms (business directory, job board) we may collect your name, contact details (WhatsApp, email), work or business information, and any document you send us, such as a resume.
2. What do we use it for?
To manage the destination directory, connect job seekers with partner businesses looking for staff, and communicate with you about these services. We do not sell your data.
3. Your rights and contact
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by writing to orientesalvaje@gmail.com.
4. Who do we share it with?
In the case of the job board, we share candidate profiles only with ADETCO partner businesses looking for staff, and only if you gave your authorization when registering.
5. How long do we keep it?
Job board profiles are kept for 6 months; after that we contact you to update or delete your information. All other data is kept for as long as necessary for the service.
Sustainability Policy
Oriente Salvaje is a destination managed with conservation at its core. We commit to promoting low-impact, high-value tourism; protecting the reefs, tropical dry forest and nesting areas that make the waves possible; prioritizing the benefit of local communities; and aligning operators and lodging with recognized sustainability standards (STOKE, Save The Waves). We measure, improve and report.

Directory Terms
The Oriente Salvaje Directory brings together the local businesses and ventures that make the destination possible, from Las Flores to La Bocanita. It's an ADETCO service to connect visitors with those who live and work in the territory.
1. Who can be listed?
The directory is open to lodging, restaurants, operators and experiences, and local products and services that operate within the Oriente Salvaje territory and share its values: sustainability, respect for the community and care for the environment.
There are two ways to be listed:
- ADETCO Partners: have a full individual profile and priority placement in the directory. Being a partner involves a commitment to the destination's sustainability standards and code of conduct.
- Allies: local businesses and ventures that, without being partners, join the directory with a compact listing.
ADETCO may request basic verification before publishing a listing.
2. Adding, updating and removing a listing
To be listed in the directory, fill out the registration form.
To correct or update your information, write to us at orientesalvaje@gmail.com.
To request removal of your listing, write to the same email and we'll process it within a reasonable time.
3. Curation and responsibility
ADETCO organizes and curates the directory as an informational service for the destination. Being listed does not constitute a certification or a guarantee of the services offered.
Each business is responsible for its own services, prices, availability and quality. Any booking, purchase or agreement is made directly between you and the business; ADETCO is not a party to those transactions and is not responsible for them.
ADETCO may include, modify or hide a listing to keep the directory up to date and aligned with the destination's values.
4. Use of brand and logos
Being listed in the directory does not authorize the use of ADETCO's or Oriente Salvaje's logos or brand without written permission.
Each business is responsible for holding the rights to the images and logos it submits for its listing.
The World Surfing Reserve seal is a collective mark of the destination and cannot be used by businesses individually.
